iOWA LAWS

i AM AN OREGON MEDICAL PATIENT AND HAVE BEEN DRUG OUT OF oREGON TO iOWA AND NOW MY SISTERS AND THE MEN ARE TRYING TO HAVE ME LOCKED UP AS AN ADDICTED DRUG USSER AND A GAMBLER. bEST PART ABOUT IT IS MY SISTERS AND MOTHER WERE PROVIDING THE MARIJUANA THAT i HAVE HAD OUT HERE. I need help from a good lawyer please, my hearing is on sunday. Once again, from Portlnd, Oregon and now I'm involentarilly being held in a pshyc ward against my will when I was told I could leave papers were served immediately. I have never signed over power of attorney and my public defender hung up when I called. I'M BEING RAILROADED! Could anyone please help me? Lady of the Woods hurtsmith90@yahoo.com

Why join if only "OMMP" holders can attend meetings?

The purpose of "norml" is the reform of the laws, leaning towards complete legalization. But this chapter seems content to just have OMMP members. Not sure what the benefits, as a nonOMMP holder, are to me to join. Maybe if you were more inclusive.. you could raise more money and tackle the real issue on the table: legalization/decriminalization.

New member

Hello,

I am a new to the Portland area and wish to join Oregon NORML. Is the Saturday meeting a good time to for me to pay my dues and become a member?

Meetings and Membership

Are you referring to your Oregon NORML membership or your cafe membership? Send your information, including when your membership started, to members@ornorml.org and we will get you taken care of.

If you would like to attend the meetings at the new location, it is at 322 SE 82nd Ave (between Stark and Burnside) on the 2nd and 4th Saturday - our next meeting will be held on September 25 at noon like always. Doors open at 11am, and the meeting is downstairs in the cafe. Hope to see you there!

Paid dues

Paid Dues right before the Ballroom break. Don't know where meetings are held. Can you extend membership for people like me who haven't been to a meeting since we left the older building?

Membership card

Please send your name, mailing address and how you joined Oregon NORML - paypal, mail or in person - and the approximate date you joined to anna@ornorml.org.

As membership coordinator, I apologize for the delay. We struggle with getting our database up-to-date. For a while, finding a new place for the cafe took precedent over everything else.

We now have volunteers who are working on this, and we hope to be current very soon. We appreciate your continued patience and support of Oregon NORML.
